Mining Company Katanga Awards Speedcast with Multi-Year Connectivity Contract for Headquarters and Major Mine Site

Open-pit copper and cobalt mine site in Sub-Saharan Africa to receive fully managed communications services with WAN Optimization

Cape Town, South Africa – August 31, 2021 - Speedcast, a leading communications and IT services provider, announced today that the company has been selected by Mining Company Katanga for a three-year contract to deliver satellite connectivity services to its headquarters and a major mine complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Mining Company Katanga (MCK Sarl) is a Congolese mining contractor based in Lubumbashi.

Internet connectivity is critical for today’s digital mine site, as it enables Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities, ensures safety of personnel and equipment on-site, and provides crew welfare applications for workers in the most remote locations. As part of the agreement, Speedcast will serve MCK’s Lubumbashi headquarters and the Ruashi open-pit copper and cobalt mine under contract with MCK, delivering optimized wide-area networking (WAN) over high-throughput, very small aperture terminal (VSAT), C-band satellite service and content filtering. The solution will enable internet access, cloud-based applications, IoT and crew welfare applications across their operations. All services will be fully supported by Speedcast’s 24x7 global Customer Support Centers (CSC).

“We are thrilled that MCK has placed its trust in Speedcast to deliver critical, remote connectivity and network optimization to its headquarters and contracted mining site,” said James Trevelyan, Senior Vice President of Enterprise and Emerging Markets at Speedcast. “We have the highest-powered Cband network in Sub-Saharan Africa, which means we can enable the customer’s digitalization agenda while delivering the highest performance primary or back-up communications solution.”

“Our Ruashi project is one of our largest refined copper and cobalt production sites with more than 2,000 people and suppliers employed. It’s vital to our headquarters and operations to have seamless communications and network management as we prioritize efficiency and digital transformation, now and in the future, while still operating cost-consciously,” said Hubert Nkonkosha, IT Manager at MCK. “Speedcast was a clear choice for our needs, and we look forward to leaning on their team for support and expert guidance, building a strong working partnership for years to come.”

Speedcast recently augmented its Tier 1 satellite network across the Sub-Saharan African region with the addition of a new High-Throughput Satellite (HTS), offering ultra-high signal availability – even into 1.8m terminals. The satellite’s look angle across Africa is around 60 degrees elevation, making it ideal for steep-sided open pit mines and resilient to equatorial weather patterns. It also incorporates the latest VSAT technology and a selection of bandwidth packages, from high-speed to gigabyte-only plans.

Mobile trade-in programs returned $571 million to U.S. consumers in Q2 2021

More than 150% year-over-year growth shows mobile device trade-in programs are back to pre-pandemic levels

26 August 2021Assurant, a leading global provider of lifestyle and housing solutions that support, protect and connect major consumer purchases, today announced findings from its analysis of the mobile device trade-in and upgrade market for Q2 2021. Its Q2 Mobile Trade-in and Upgrade Industry Trends report reveals that mobile trade-in programs in the U.S. returned $571 million to consumers, a 152% increase from Q2 2020 and a 25% increase over Q2 2019, reflecting a return to pre-pandemic levels.

Assurant’s Q2 report, which provides insights into trade-in and upgrade trends in the North American market, outlines the top smartphones turned in, the average age and value of smartphones at trade-in and upgrade, as well as trade-in trends for Apple Watches from the quarter. The report is based on data from Assurant’s Device IQ analytics platform, as well as industry market data.

“New device sales continue to benefit from strong trade-in and upgrade programs,” said Biju Nair, President of Global Connected Living at Assurant. “And, with more consumers wanting the latest 5G devices, we expect to see these programs continue on an upward growth trajectory, as carriers, retailers, OEMs and cable operators continue to run promotions to encourage consumers to upgrade and make the move to 5G more affordable. Additionally, the value of secondary devices is not only holding but increasing even as the average device age grows.”

The Q2 Mobile Trade-in and Upgrade Industry Trends report reveals:

  • The top five devices received through trade-in and upgrade programs in Q2 were: iPhone XR, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 11 and iPhone X. For the second quarter in a row, the iPhone XR was the most popular device turned in and made up 28% of the top five devices.

  • Q2 was the first quarter the iPhone 11 has made the top five devices. The iPhone 11 was released less than two years ago, in September 2019.

  • For the fourth quarter in a row, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was the most popular Android device received through trade-in and upgrade programs.

  • This is the first quarter where the average age of an Android device reached over three years of age.

  • The Apple Watch Series 6 had the highest trade-in value, at an average of $218, up $6 from Q1.

  • Wearable trade-ins continue to grow. There was a 300% increase in trade-in volume Q2 2021 from Q2 2020.

  • Online trade-ins were up 20% over the same quarter last year.

“Not surprisingly, last year during the pandemic we saw more than a threefold increase in online trade-ins when compared to the same period in the previous year,” said Nair. “Though more U.S. retail stores are open now, consumers are enjoying the freedom to not only buy their new device online but also complete their trade-in without going into a store. We expect consumers to continue to take advantage of the flexibility of options to conduct a trade-in whether it is online, in a store, or starting in one channel and completing in another.”

Enreach acquires cloud solutions provider DSD Europe

Creating instant converged IT and unified communications channel opportunities whilst enhancing Microsoft capabilities

Almere 25 August 2021Enreach, one of Europe’s fastest growing unified communications (UC) companies providing innovative contact technology backed by investment company Waterland, further strengthens its cloud productivity credentials with the addition of cloud solutions provider DSD Europe and its sister company CloudLand (‘DSD’). DSD is a high growth provider of IT, security and other cloud products to over 5,000 active resellers across Europe, through its leading cloud marketplace.

Stijn Nijhuis, CEO of Enreach

Stijn Nijhuis, CEO of Enreach

The combination of DSD and Enreach unlocks opportunities to cross-sell compatible products and share joint expertise to the benefit of resellers and customers across both businesses. The acquisition is a significant step in Enreach’s growth strategy towards digital transformation services, supported by the accelerated convergence of IT and unified communications in light of remote working and cloud-based collaboration market trends.

One-stop-shop
Stijn Nijhuis, CEO of Enreach: "Following the recent acquisition of Go2theCloud, a Microsoft Cloud Service Provider, the acquisition of DSD enhances the opportunity to provide our existing resellers with a one-stop-shop solution for all digital transformation needs their customers have. DSD provides the required scale and expertise we needed to help execute our strategy and quickly scale new business for integrated productivity tools and services. As an established and fast-growing partner of Microsoft and cloud marketplace of software solutions to IT resellers and MSPs across Europe, we immediately identified a unique strategic fit with Enreach. We are therefore very pleased to welcome DSD to our group."

Integrated Productivity offering
Founded in 2009, DSD Europe was the first to enable the digital distribution of many software brands. After launching their in-house developed cloud marketplace DSD has rapidly developed into a leading provider of digital software for IT resellers and MSPs, with a large focus on the Microsoft eco-system.

DSD will enhance the Enreach portfolio towards an integrated UC- and Productivity Cloud Services offering targeted towards Enreach partners, starting in the Netherlands but with significant new channel opportunities in France and Belgium.

The company will continue to be based in the Netherlands. Thijs van de Moosdijk, CEO and co-founder of the company, will continue to look after existing DSD partners and help to drive new growth initiatives going forward in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe alongside his experienced management team, reporting directly to Terry Aurik (CEO Enreach NL) and Martin Classen (Chief Product Officer Enreach).

Van de Moosdijk said: "DSD is an established market player with a strong track record of rapid expansion both in existing and new markets and has a meaningful multi-country presence in Europe. Our own-IP license cloud marketplace through which IT resellers and MSPs can offer software to the end user on a SaaS basis, allows for easy purchase, activation and management of software and cloud services and will help facilitate additional growth for Enreach partners. With the IT and Telco channels converging, becoming part of Enreach creates an opportunity to help our resellers add telco services to their portfolio in an easy way. This results in those resellers becoming the one-stop-shop ICT provider for their customers. With more than 40 software and cloud software providers on our cloud marketplace we offer highly personalised service to our partners with whom we develop strong relationships. Something that matches perfectly with Enreach “working wonders” for all of its customers.”

DISH joined HomeGrid Forum to become an active contributor to the development of G.hn and is highly interested in monitoring G.hn benefits for different network topologies as they evolve. With a track record of innovation, HomeGrid Forum aims to utilize G.hn to extend the coverage and access within the home.

“We are delighted to welcome DISH to the HomeGrid Forum Board, as we mark the beginning of G.hn innovation for supporting satellite operators interested in the 5G FWA coexistence with Satellite TV on existing coax wiring delivering multi-Gigabit speeds,” said HomeGrid Forum President, Livia Rosu. “To enact true change, we require leading operators and manufacturers to actively contribute to shaping the evolution of G.hn, whether that be for satellite or fiber extension deployments. This is an exciting time for G.hn and we look forward to working with DISH, our first member from the satellite sector.”

Forecasts by ABI Research show that there will be around 3.6 million subscribers to satellite broadband by the end of this year, as satellite promises to improve broadband penetration significantly worldwide. Zylpha’s New Adobe Sign For iManage Integration Delivers Seamlessly Simple and Secure eSignatures

Press Release

Zylpha’s new Adobe Sign integration for iManage10 allows users to send single or multiple documents for eSignature, directly from within their iManage document management system. Progress updates are provided back to the user in real-time, with signed documents automatically saved directly back into iManage. The seamlessly simple Adobe Sign system greatly reduces client response times from days to minutes and eliminates the risk of documents being lost in the post or mis-delivered.

Zylpha’s Adobe Sign integration for iManage 10

Zylpha’s Adobe Sign integration for iManage 10

Zylpha’s new Adobe Sign for iManage is a complete integration, which means that users are not redirected to a separate website – rather, they always remain working within iManage10. This means that the solution is able to provide far more flexibility around existing processes whilst maintaining document integrity. The integration works with both hosted and on-premise iManage solutions.

Of particular note is the system’s speed and simplicity. iManage10 users simply choose a document (or documents) within a workspace and with a single right-click select ‘send for signature’. This brings up a range of options such as the creation of ‘accompanying messages’ or ‘defining the levels of access and security’ before the documents are sent to the client. When the client has signed/completed the documentation, the files are then automatically filed back into the workspace in iManage. This is particularly useful for teams, whereby one person can send the file, but anyone can work on it when it is returned.

Getting started with Zylpha’s Adobe Sign for iManage integration is straightforward too, meaning that new users can be up-and-running in a timely and efficient manner. The system’s simple user friendly interface is easy for users to understand and enables them feel confident when using it.

Commenting on the launch Zylpha’s CEO Tim Long said; “Our new Adobe Sign integration for iManage10 is just one way that Zylpha is committed to making lawyers’ lives easier through the smarter use of technology. No longer should clients be left waiting on the vagaries of the postal service, or solicitors be concerned as to whether documents have arrived. Our initial research suggests that demand from iManage users will be extremely healthy, so we look forward to making a real difference with these practices.”

CBNG appoints new Vice President Charles Loverso to drive North America strategy

Salt Lake City, US, August 23, 2021 – Cambridge Broadband Networks Group (CBNG) has today announced the appointment of its new Vice President Charles Loverso, who will lead the company’s sales and business development in North America.

With spectrum availability, 5G roll outs and a political push for enhanced infrastructure dominating the industry, Loverso will drive forward CBNG’s offering to help meet the challenges caused by modern connectivity demands. Despite the deployment of 5G, the roll out is slow with around 80 percent of the US without access to 5G networks.

Vice President Charles Loverso

Vice President Charles Loverso

Loverso said: “This is an exciting, but critical, time in North America in terms of 5G networks and the Fixed Wireless Access market. There is not an infinite amount of spectrum available, so operators must maximise the solutions, such as those provided by CBNG, that allow them to take advantage of the under-utilized frequency spectrum bands. I am looking forward to leading CBNG’s activities in this region and building on the great work that the company is doing.”

With more than 30 years of technical and sales experience, Loverso has launched new markets and built new business lines for communications equipment businesses, such as Redline Communications and DragonWave. He previously co-founded NSA Communications, an integrated data and voice communication solutions company, and was responsible for building the organization from the ground up.

CBNG Chief Executive Officer Nigel Hall added: “We are thrilled to welcome Charles to CBNG and the wealth of expertise in the broadband wireless industry that he brings. CBNG has key strategic relationships with operators and service providers within the US market and Charles is the right person to continue to develop and expand these relationships moving forward.”

CBNG’s highly successful VectaStar product is the most widely deployed and referenced licensed point-to-multipoint network solution in the world. More than 150 customers are currently using it in over 50 countries worldwide for enterprise access, mobile backhaul, small cell backhaul and ISP networks, with CBNG’s customers including seven of the world’s top 10 mobile operators.

About Cambridge Broadband Networks Group
Since its inception in the year 2000, Cambridge Broadband Networks Group has revolutionised the use of microwave and millimetre wave spectrum to deliver high-speed, point-to-multipoint networks in the wide area. The company’s proprietary and ground-breaking technologies made it possible to move beyond simple point-to-point links in the high frequency bands. The arrival of point-to-multipoint in these bands transformed the business case and made it financially viable for service providers to deploy solutions. CBN went through a restructuring process earlier in 2020 and is now re-emerging as CBNG; a new company started from a management buyout taking forward the original CBNL brand, IP, customer base and products.

Vilicom and Virgin Media O2 launch commercial Neutral Host In-Building (NHIB) site

  • Vilicom are extending Virgin Media O2’s 4G mobile coverage to businesses and its subscribers with one of the first inbuilding commercial deployment following NHIB standards

  • The new solution’s cost-effective model will enhance Virgin Media O2’s existing network service, improving voice quality and data speeds overcoming indoor blackspots

  • Vilicom and Virgin Media O2 are committed to using innovative Open RAN and cloud-based technologies which offer competitive commercial and environmentally friendly solutions to the market of inbuilding mobile connectivity

20th August 2021: Today, Vilicom announces that is has successfully rolled out one of the first commercial sites with Virgin Media O2, built upon its Open RAN technology platform in adherence with the specifications laid out by the Joint Operators Technical Specifications for Neutral Host In-Building (JOTS NHIB) systems. After several months of dedicated testing of functionality, interoperability and cyber-security, Vilicom delivered full availability of its cloud-based network platform to enhance indoor coverage to Virgin Media O2’s subscribers.

Vilicom’s infrastructure has been developed in partnership with Mavenir using its Cloud RAN technology, and unlike legacy solutions, is a fully digital business model. The Connectivity-as-a Service (CaaS) network platform streamlines site deployment, implements a full stack of network management and operations, offers fully integrated security features and aims to reduce the cost and space requirements of inbuilding 4G, and later 5G, public and private mobile connectivity for the UK’s industries and businesses.

Vilicom and Virgin Media O2 launch commercial Neutral Host In-Building (NHIB) site

As mobile connectivity helps power the country’s recovery, businesses of all sizes, across the UK, require reliable 4G connectivity indoors. The integration of Vilicom’s virtualised O-RAN platform with all UK based Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) will meet this demand, and businesses, industries and subscribers within the coverage area of Vilicom’s CaaS network will benefit from an enhanced network service including improved voice quality and data speeds.

This model also benefits MNOs by offloading traffic from macro cells to the inbuilding networks, making sure that traffic generated by indoor subscribers is served indoors, thus saving capacity of macro cells and reducing the need for expansion investment.

Sean Keating, CEO of Vilicom commented: “Delivering this milestone achievement is testament to Vilicom’ s commitment to implementing the latest approved technology by the Mobile Network Operators to solve indoor mobile connectivity. Boku launches M1ST, the world's largest mobile payments network

  • M1ST is the largest mobile payments network in the world, reaching 5.7 billion payment accounts in 90 countries through 330+ mobile payment methods

  • Through M1ST, merchants can quickly and securely accept mobile wallets, real-time payments and carrier billing through a single API integration

London, 18th August, 2021: Boku Inc. (AIM: BOKU) today announced the launch of the M1ST (aka Mobile First), the world’s largest mobile payments network. The M1ST Payments Network features an unrivalled 330+ mobile payment methods, including mobile wallets, direct carrier billing, and real-time payments schemes, reaching 5.7 billion mobile payment accounts in 90 countries - all through a single integration.

Boku logo

Boku logo

1.7 billion consumers have joined the world’s middle class in the past decade, with over 90% of the new middle class in emerging markets (Brookings Institute, 2020). Many of the world’s new middle class in Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East are bypassing credit cards, and moving from cash to mobile payments like GoPay, Paga, PicPay and UPI. According to the World Bank, 45% of consumers globally use mobile wallets vs. just 18% that use credit cards for payments.

However, mobile payment acceptance for global merchants is highly complex, especially due to the extreme fragmentation of mobile payment methods. M1ST solves a number of these challenges so that merchants can easily accept mobile payments, globally, and at scale, including:

  • Standardization - M1ST removes the complexity of disparate technical, legal and contractual considerations, simplifying 330+ payment methods into a single, scheme-like network.

  • Digitally Native - M1ST enabled payments are built to support the 0-tap subscriptions and 1-tap checkout transactions that enable new, online business models.

  • Future-Proofed - By 2025, nearly 60% of consumers globally are projected to be using mobile wallets; the M1ST Network follows market demand to maximize merchant acceptance.

  • Global Settlement - M1ST delivers merchants a single, global settlement, eliminating the complexity of local taxes, foreign exchange, and cash repatriation.

  • Local Legal Infrastructure - Through payment licenses and local entities, M1ST is capable of accepting regulated payments in nearly 50 countries.

M1ST is designed to eliminate the difficulty of mobile payment acceptance so that merchants can accept mobile payments more quickly, at lower cost, and focus on building world-class user experiences that drive long-term, valuable relationships with their customers.

“We’ve seen a fundamental shift of consumer purchasing power from west to east, from established to emerging markets, and from credit cards to mobile payments. Today, we’re launching the M1ST Network to enable global merchants to acquire, monetize, and retain mobile-first consumers,” said Jon Prideaux, CEO of Boku. “For merchants to capitalize on the massive potential of mobile-first consumers, they need to accept the payment methods they have and prefer, which are increasingly behind glass screens, not rectangular pieces of plastic. We’ve spent the past decade delivering new customers to our merchants through mobile payments. Now that mobile payments have overtaken credit cards globally, merchant acceptance has moved from a competitive advantage to a strategic imperative.”

Dynamic Spectrum Alliance urges countries worldwide to adopt license-exempt access to the entire 6 GHz band

Washington D.C., USA, 11 August: Opening the full 6 GHz band for license-exempt technologies is important to improve the economy, address the digital divide, accelerate technical innovation and more, says the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA) who, together with Broadcom, Cisco, Facebook, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Intel and Microsoft, is releasing a new report today.

“Wi-Fi 6E technology is ready now and the benefits from enabling license-exempt access to 1200 MHz in the 6 GHz band will have an immediate impact in countries worldwide,” said Martha Suarez, President of the DSA. “Global momentum towards opening the 6 GHz band for license-exempt RLAN technology has been exploding. The 5925-7125 MHz band has opened in Brazil, the Republic of Korea, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Peru and Canada, with more countries in the process of following suit.”

The report reveals that regulators globally have reached a remarkable and swift consensus with 6 GHz regulatory decisions covering nearly 54% of the global GDP, and nearly 42% of GDP having opened or proposed opening the full 6 GHz band to license-exempt use. This assertive action is happening in part because governments have recognized the key role that robust broadband connectivity plays for the lives of citizens, the state of their economies, and in supporting national broadband connectivity deployments.

Allocating the entire 6 GHz band to license-exempt use provides important economic benefits. The Wi-Fi Alliance has conducted exhaustive studies with Telecom Advisory Services of the impact of Wi-Fi on global and national economies, concluding that globally, assuming regulators open the full 6 GHz band to Wi-Fi, the $3.3 trillion in Wi-Fi value to the world’s economy in 2021 will rise to $4.9 trillion in 2025.

As applications become more bandwidth intensive and connected devices with increasing data demands continue to proliferate, the sustainability of digital ecosystems relies on license-exempt technologies such as Wi-Fi. At the same time, fixed and mobile broadband networks continue to get faster and more data hungry with the evolution of fiber as well as the transition from 4G to 5G.

Opening the full 6 GHz band to license-exempt technologies is a critical step to foster innovation. Expeditious action by regulators will make spectrum available for next generations of license-exempt technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi 7, and 5G NR-U) while keeping their countries positioned on the leading edge of innovation. Wi-Fi 7 will boost innovation, unlocking the emergence of future generations of applications, including augmented reality, virtual reality, holographic, haptic systems and more.

For more insight into why it is so important for license-exempt access of the 6 GHz band to be used, the full report titled, ‘6 GHz License Exempt: Why the full 1200 MHz and why now?’, can be read online: https://bit.ly/3sbop8E

Zylpha Document Bundling Drives Efficiency At The Heart Of Rook Irwin Sweeney

London based public law and human rights practice, Rook Irwin Sweeney, has proved the value of Zylpha’s electronic bundling software when preparing bundles for the High Court. The software is being used in conjunction with the practice’s LEAP case management system. Independent research has shown that by using Zylpha, the time taken to produce court and other legal document bundles is reduced by up to 80%, enabling Rook Irwin Sweeney to spend more time supporting its clients. Better still, as Zylpha’s ebundling is supplied on a Pay As You Go basis, the practice only pays for the individual bundles they actually use.

With Partners that have acted in many of the leading Human Rights and Public Law cases of the last decade, Rook Irwin Sweeney prides itself on empowering clients to understand their legal rights and the solutions that are available when their rights are being infringed. Naturally, behind this impressive track record, Rook Irwin Sweeney maintains a first rate document and case management system. At the heart of this process is the need to collate, maintain and update high-quality court–compliant document bundles. Rook Irwin Sweeney decided that an electronic bundling system would be an ideal investment to support this process. They chose Zylpha as it was recommended and worked well with the Practice’s LEAP case management system.

Anne-Marie Irwin

Anne-Marie Irwin

As Partner Anne-Marie Irwin says, “We needed a system that worked with our existing LEAP case management tool, that was both easy to use but was also capable of producing professional, court-compliant bundles right across our business. Zylpha was recommended and works well with LEAP. Notably, it is fast, powerful, incredibly user friendly and is available on a highly cost-effective Pay As You Go basis.”

Zylpha's digital software contained everything that Rook Irwin Sweeny needed to create the highest quality document bundles. Its 'Pay As You Go' dashboard-like screen, makes it clear, concise, and easy to use when creating even the largest, most detailed bundles. This is because the system's unique single-view digital approach streamlines and simplifies the arrangement and pagination of documents, saving a considerable amount of time and removing any complexity involved. In addition to delivering time savings of up to 80% over traditional manual bundling alternatives, Zylpha's system also eliminates costs such as stationery, photocopying, paper file storage, and courier costs.

At Rook Irwin Sweeney, Zylpha continues to prove its worth. As Anne-Marie continues, “Zylpha has proved to be a real success and is now firmly at the heart of our document bundling operations – and it’s really very impressive. The software is remarkably easy to use although I would add that should you need it, Zylpha has considerable experience of document bundling at all levels and also has expertise in the use of the LEAP case management system that we use. To make sure we can exploit this experience fully ourselves, Zylpha has developed a range of free e-learning courses – its teachable course series - and these are backed up by a library of guides and information resources. Where we do need to discuss something, Zylpha’s customer response times are very impressive too.”

“From our point of view, the time savings are especially noteworthy. The quality of electronically produced bundles is excellent and they are fully court compliant. The time we save is all extra time that we can spend with our clients.

Beyond this, Zylpha is exceptionally secure too. Any files we send are protected by state of the art encryption and this is hugely reassuring.”

David Chapman, Zylpha’s Head of Marketing, welcomed Anne-Marie’s comments adding, “As a growing Fleet Street practice, Rook Irwin Sweeney is widely respected for its expertise and the quality of the representation that it provides to its clients. Naturally, we are thrilled that Zylpha is being used to prepare court ready bundles at this level. And, as the software on a PAY AS YOU GO basis, Rook Irwin Sweeney still only pays for what it actually uses – ensuring maximum efficiency savings for least cost. We look forward to working closely with them on future developments in bundling and legal technology.”

Looking to the future Anne-Marie Irwin is confident that Zylpha will support the practice’s growth and evolving working practices, noting, “Zylpha is flexible and scalable so we expect it to continue to meet our needs in the future. We look forward to monitoring the benefits and assessing any other Zylpha technologies that can boost client service and drive efficiency.”

Zylpha Bundling Delivers Clear Benefits To Maria Fogg Family Law

Maria Fogg Family Law has chosen Zylpha Document Bundling to drive clear efficiency & compliance benefits.

Based in Liverpool, family run practice Maria Fogg Family Law provides expert family legal services in Child Care Proceedings (Local Authority Involvement), Domestic abuse injunctions, Divorce, Separation, Child Matters, Financial Matters and Property Affairs. The Firm offers Legal Aid, fixed fees, competitive rates with office, telephone and video appointments.

Andrea Fogg

Andrea Fogg

Since its inception 9 years ago, the practice has developed a strong reputation for being an approachable, friendly and highly respected family law firm that delivers excellent customer service. Central to its high standards are the attention to detail and the quality of the document management behind the practice’s operations. A key element here is the preparation of document bundles. With courts now accepting online electronic legal document bundles, a rigorous programme of bundling software evaluation began in early 2020.

Maria Fogg Family Law chose Zylpha’s electronic bundling as it ticked all the important boxes. As Director Andrea Fogg notes, “We needed a cost-effective document bundling solution that worked well with our LEAP case management system and that was easy to install and use. Zylpha stood out as it has a proven LEAP Integration and it can deliver fully court compliant bundles in a fraction of the time it takes to produce them manually. Once they are in electronic format, they also much easier to update and maintain. From our extensive use of Zylpha’s software, we are quite comfortable with the company’s claim that time savings of 80% are typical. Better still, whilst the system is capable of handling even the most complex bundling needs, it is accessible on a Pay As You Go basis. This means that we only pay for the precise number of bundles that we actually use. Getting up to speed to derive these benefits quickly is also straightforward as the software is supported by a comprehensive range of ‘how to’ training videos and free ‘online learning’ guides. In addition, where we have made contact with the customer service team, we have been impressed by their friendly approach and rapid response times. They are incredibly knowledgeable and this is a tremendous asset to have so readily on hand.”

By saving considerable amounts of time Zylpha has delivered clear and significant efficiency benefits to Maria Fogg Family Law. Crucially, this is extra time that can be spent with the practice’s clients. There are other clear benefits too including a significant reduction in physical stationery and storage costs. Most importantly though, there is also a major security dividend in using Zylpha.

Andrea Fogg continues, “Whenever one sends files with Zylpha we have the confidence of knowing that they are protected by the very latest encryption and system security. And it is far faster and more reliable than post or courier services. In this respect too, the software is a real game changer. When added to the significant efficiency benefits available, one can easily see why Zylpha is currently so very popular with the legal profession. In fact, it is ideal for practices of all sizes as it is very scalable according to your specific needs. Overall, then we would have to say that Zylpha is a great tool and we would strongly recommend it.”

David Chapman, Head of Marketing at Zylpha welcomes Andrea’s comments adding, ’We’re incredibly impressed by the high standards Maria Fogg Family Law maintains. It’s also very apparent that they go that extra mile for their clients in offering an exceptional level of service. Naturally therefore, we are delighted to have been chosen to deliver court compliant electronic document bundling by them and we look forward to working closely with the practice in supporting the excellent work that they do.”

Looking forwards, Andrea Fogg sees the real potential for additional benefits commenting, “We would certainly be interested in exploring other ways in which Zylpha’s software can make a difference to our practice – especially where the ultimate beneficiaries will be our clients. To this end, we are delighted to enjoy such a close relationship with the company and look forward to liaising with them further over time.”
